Meryl Streep and Jet Li are two of the most respected actors in film history, but they have never worked together. There is no movie, no red carpet appearance, and no personal friendship that connects them. The two stars built their careers in completely different parts of the film world, and their paths simply never crossed. This article explains why their names get mentioned together online, what each actor has achieved, and why the rumors about a connection between them are not true.
Why Are Meryl Streep and Jet Li Being Mentioned Together?
The main reason Meryl Streep and Jet Li appear together in search results is online curiosity. Fans sometimes make posters of imaginary movies pairing famous actors, and those images can spread quickly on social media. A misleading headline or an edited photo can make it look like the two share a project when they do not. One older rumor suggested Streep might join a female version of The Expendables, a film series that featured Jet Li. That project was only ever discussed in early stages, and Streep was never cast. No film with both actors has ever been announced, filmed, or released.
Did Meryl Streep and Jet Li Ever Meet or Work Together?
No. There is no record of Meryl Streep and Jet Li ever meeting. They have never shared a film set, a co-starring credit, or a joint interview. Streep began her screen career in 1977 with Julia, while Li made his film debut in 1982 with Shaolin Temple. Their careers developed in separate film industries for decades. Streep worked mainly in American and British dramas and comedies. Li built his reputation in Hong Kong and Chinese martial arts films before moving into Hollywood action movies in the late 1990s. No official source confirms a meeting between them.

Conclusion
Meryl Streep and Jet Li are both legendary in their own fields, but they have never shared a film, a stage, or a personal connection. The rumors linking them come from online misinformation, not from real events. Streep mastered acting through voice, emotion, and character.
